Private Event Star Parties

The University of Arizona Astronomy Club is pleased to offer a variety of stargazing and engaging hands-on science activities for our private star parties. We guarantee amazing night sky viewing experiences with our telescopes, guided by our trained and enthusiastic club astronomers. Most star parties involve 2-3 telescopes and 3-4 operators for 4 or 5 hours, but these details can be altered to suit your needs. Daytime solar observing is also a possibility. For younger children, we also provide entertaining arts & crafts, such as planet painting, crater-making, and comet-making, designed to help them learn about celestial objects. We now also offer the ability to look at the sky, rain or shine, with our new 12-foot wide, 15-foot tall planetarium, made by our club. It includes a high-resolution projector, and software that allows party-goers to view the entire universe without ever having to leave their backyards. Prices vary depending on distance and services provided. Great for business meetings, birthday parties, conferences, and other large events! Proceeds from the star party go entirely to club projects and activities.

If you wish to book a star party or would like more information, please fill out the form below, or contact Marina Dunn or Nicole Zawadzki using the Contact Us page. Outreach and Educational Star Parties

The University of Arizona Astronomy Club is very passionate about education and outreach, and we will be happy to host a star party for your school, no matter the grade level. We have the ability to provide telescopes and interactive demonstrations and models for students at Open Houses, Science Nights, class-specific events, or any other school function you desire. Daytime solar observing is also a possibility. We strive to make astronomy fun and accessible to everyone, and we will be happy to explore accommodations for students with disabilities.
