ATOMM: Astronomy Tutoring Offered by Majors, for Majors
Welcome to the main page for ATOMM. This program is designed to facilitate peer-tutoring activities between undergraduate students in the astronomy major track at the University of Arizona. The program is run through the University of Arizona Astronomy Club. The focus of the tutoring sessions will be on classes offered by the University of Arizona Department of Astronomy for students intending to major in astronomy; for more information, please consider visiting the department major website, located at https://www.as.arizona.edu/undergrad-major-information.
Meetings are currently everyday from 2:00pm-3:30pm in the Parker Library on the 3rd floor of Steward Observatory. Tutors will be graduate students and class teachers assistants. They will be helping with classes in Astronomy, Physics, and Math.
Steward Observatory Room 208 is the undergraduate computer lounge. Students wishing to receive tutoring for a class that involves any element of programming or data reduction that cannot be done on a personal computer are encouraged to attend sessions held in the undergraduate computer lounge in order to take advantage of the facilities offered by the department.
